Summary: The description, specs, photos, pricing and user ratings of the Beretta PX4 Storm Compact Carry pistol.Manufacturer’s Description
The Beretta PX4 Storm Compact Carry is a double-action/single-action, hammer-fired semiauto pistol built on a black polymer frame with a steel slide, and chambered in 9mm. It’s competition shooter/firearms trainer Ernest Langdon‘s tweaked version of Beretta’s standard PX4 Storm Compact (check out Dave Spaulding’s in-depth review of the standard version here). New features include:
- A low-profile, left-side slide release (instead of ambidextrous);
- low-profile thumb safety/decocker levers;
- three magazine release button sizes to accommodate your personal preference;
- a gray cerakote finish on the slide;
- high-visibility, low-profile Ameriglo sights with an orange front post and an all-black rear notch, both dovetailed into the slide;
- a Talon wraparound grip;
- a smoother trigger via plating and polishing of the trigger group, and coating the springs;
The gun ships with three 15-round magazines.

I recently purchased this pistol after reading reviews and handling it at the LGS. I had never considered the px4 series even though I like the 92 but the feel, finish and surprising trigger were too much to ignore. After a couple trips to the range, I am planning to make this my carry peace as soon as my jm holster ships. The gun i can compare this to is my P229 legion where the trigger is concerned. It’s that smooth. On top of that it’s accurate, the sights are nice and the low profile controls and rounded edges make it ideal for a compact size carry pistol. Very nice indeed.
