Manufacturer’s Description

The High Standard GI 1911 is a 1911-style pistol built on a steel frame with a steel slide, and chambered in .45 ACP. Armscor built these guns in the Philippines, and High Standard and Lipsey‘s sold it as a Lipsey’s Exclusive. Note: High Standard also offers the very similar M1911, which it builds at its Texas plant.
Other GI 1911 features include:

• A lowered and flared ejection port;
• a beveled magazine well;

  

• checkered wood grips;
• fixed GI-style sights;
• a GI-style hammer;
• a beavertail grip safety;
• a left-side thumb safety;
• a flat, serrated mainspring housing; and
• a parkerized finish.
